Hello everyone. Happy to meet you.
I'm a self-taught 2d-artist that specializes in a Western/Japanese blended style. I'm a life-long fan of giant monsters, dinosaurs, dragons, and any other sort of giant fire-breathing reptilian menace hellbent on terrorizing humanity. Hence, you might find a recurring theme in some of my artwork.
Fittingly, I'm the penciler and inker (not the colorist) on an upcoming series of kaiju graphic novels titled Hujangus. For anyone interested, give a follow to @hujangus over on Twitter/X, or sign up for the mailing list at Hujangus.com. Our ads have been featured in Alterna Comics, G-Fan Magazine and and some other indie books.
"What if there were a kaiju roaming our planet? How would that affect the world's governments, the environment... how would it fit into our planets eco-system? Then, imagine that you were the only one who could communicate with it?" It's about a little girl named Marlee and how the world reacts to this kaiju named Hujangus."
The Twitter page often posts pieces I've worked on. For those waiting to pull the trigger, the art on the 1st book is 100% complete, my part on the second is done, and I'm roughly 75% way through penciling & inking the third book.
We've been working on this project for a while and we're hoping to hit the ground running. If you don't mind, please help us get the word out to any other kaiju fan you might know.
I don't mean to pigeonhole myself into just one genre. I do plenty of different fanart, including fantasy, anime, western comics, video games, movies, more. If you're interested in some commission work, feel free to reach out.
Thanks for reading,
Drawman
